Mr. Nickerson began his legal career in 1985 as a corporate attorney for Union Pacific Railroad. After five years with the railroad he joined one of the five largest law firms in Chicago and within a few years was voted a partner. After getting an MBA and joining one of the clients he had represented, Nickerson launched his own company, which he built up and sold.
During his more than twenty years as an attorney Mr. Nickerson has represented many companies with respect to business transactions, mergers and acquisitions and employment matters. His experience as a business executive and entrepreneur has enhanced his delivery of legal services.
He is presently CFO and General Counsel to one of the largest recruiting and IT consulting companies in the United States. He holds a BA from Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota, where he majored in Philosophy and English. He also holds a JD and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Having the dubious distinction of taking five bar exams in five different states, he is licensed in Texas, California, Nevada, Illinois and Nebraska.
He sponsored the Inaugural Colloquium on The Institute for Global Legal Studies at Washington University School of Law. He is mentioned in numerous articles and books, including the book, 'CEO's That Sell' by Anthony Parinello, Darwin Magazine, Success Magazine and many others. He is an active member of the CEO Clubs and its SuperPac.
Mr. Nickerson is an avid martial artist holding a black belt in American Kenpo Karate under Sifu Rick Fowler in Irving Texas and is a student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 2000 World Champion, Carlos Machado in Dallas, Texas.
